Welcome to The Coach House Surgery

Our Practice originates from the early 1950s when Dr Savoury was one of the first Doctors here. The Surgery building was originally a stables house before being converted. Later Dr Stanley and Irene Boyle lived next door in the attached house and used to come through a connecting door to see patients. There was an under-stair cubbyhole for the Receptionist to work from and in the waiting room, standing room only except for a few chairs around the walls.

A major rebuild was planned by the Doctors and completed in 1991, keeping the exterior features but extending the property considerably. This is when we became known as The Coach House Surgery.

Internally all the rooms were changed to bring the Surgery up to modern standards. This included a new waiting room, full disabled facilities, car park and modern surgery and treatment rooms.

The premises are fully equipped to cope with advances in facilities and  regularly upgraded. The workings of the Practice have also been changed over the years with a focus on providing what patients would like, whilst keeping a traditional family doctor approach to the service provided.
